On February 8 2011 — The Red Sox sign reliever Alfredo Aceves to a one-year contract. Aceves, who has spent his entire career with the New York Yankees is coming off a back injury that cut short his 2010 season, and a broken collarbone suffered in an off-season bicycle accident.
