On December 7, 1992 — The Reds sign free agent OF Roberto Kelly to a three-year contract. The 28 year-old All-Star outfielder will play solid baseball for his new team, compiling a .313 batting average in 125 games in Cincinnati, before being traded to Atlanta during the season in 1994 for Deion Sanders.
