Toby Harrah the last Senator finishes his career

October 4, 1986, At Arlington Stadium, Texas Ranger Toby Harrah Ks for the 2nd out in the bottom of the 9th against Vern Ruhle, pitching for the Angels. That’s the last time anyone from the 1961-71 Washington Senators played in MLB. The Angels win the game 2-0. John Candelaria gets the win pitching the first 6 innings, both Angel runs come on Brian Downings double in the second.

Harrah debuted in 1969, and then returned in a full time role in 1971 the last year the Senators played in Washington. They will move to Texas the following season and Harrah will play 11 of his 17 years for the Ranger/Senator franchise.
