Tris Speaker starts a 20-game hitting streak

On July 24, 1912, Boston Red Sox Star outfielder Tris Speaker starts a 20-game hitting streak, his third streak of at least 20 games that season. Speaker will go 32 – 74, hitting .432 during this streak.

Speaker remains the only player to accomplish that feat. Speaker will have a hit in 74 out of 78 games during this stretch. He will go on to hit a career-high of .383 and win the MVP. The Red Sox will also go on to Capture the 1912 World Series.
