On September 12, 1965 – Washington’s Brant Alyea debuts with a pinch-hit home run on the first pitch from Rudy May in his first major league at bat. It is the first time in Major League history a batter accomplished this feat and 840 fans in Washington saw it and the Senators beat the Angels, 7 – 1.
