After waiting three hours to begin the game due to rain, the Reds beat San Francisco at Riverfront Stadium, 6-3. At the end of the contest, the Cincinnati fans are treated to the nation’s earliest Independence Day celebration, when the team begins launching fireworks at two o’clock in the morning.
