On ,December 8 1980 —  The St Louis Cardinals and Padres complete the first major trade at the annual winter meetings in Dallas, TX. Rollie Fingers’ glorious Cardinals career lasts all of four days before he’s dealt to the Brewers in another blockbuster deal.
