On July 30, 1982, the Atlanta Braves remove mascot “Chief Noc-a-homa” and his teepee from left field to make room for more seating at Atlanta’s Fulton County Stadium. The Braves will lose 19 of their next 21 games before restoring the mascot and teepee.

Not since 1916 has an American Leaguer been thrown out three times in a game.
