Barry Bonds became the all-time home run king when he belted his 756th roundtripper

On August 7, 2007, In front of a very supportive home crowd San Francisco Giants slugger Barry Bonds became the all-time home run king when he belted his 756th round-tripper. Bonds hit the milestone homer in the fifth inning into the right-center field bleachers off southpaw Mike Bacsik, Jr. of the Nationals at AT&T Park. Bacsik’s father had faced Aaron after his last major league home run. 

In front of a very supportive home crowd and during the 10-minute celebration following the historic homer, a surprise video message is played on the scoreboard in which Hank Aaron congratulates the Giants’ left fielder for breaking the 31 year-old record.

Felipe Lopez goes 3 for 4 with the game-deciding double as Kevin Correia falls to 1-6 and Chris Schroder gets the win. Bonds has a 3-for-3 day with 3 runs.
