On July 9, 1938 — At The Polo Grounds Carl Hubbell and the New York Giants are routed 7-0 when Boston’s Tony Cuccinello, Max West and Elbie Fletcher hit successive 4th-inning homers.  The loss drops the Giants to 46-26.
