Delgado is 3-for-5 with two homers and a double. The outburst occurs in the first game of a doubleheader split between Yankee Stadium and Shea Stadium.

The first baseman, who breaks Dave Kingman’s 1976 club mark, also surpasses Kingman on the all-time home run list with the first of his two homers, moving into 34th place with his 443rd career round-tripper.
