On July 29, 1991 — During a game at Yankee Stadium, Oakland OF Jose Canseco is bombarded with assorted objects by unruly fans. Included among the objects are an inflatable doll, a transistor radio, and a head of cabbage. Oakland escapes with a 10 – 8 victory.

I think they said it was Madonna or something. “Just kidding,” Canseco said.
“They were heckling me like normal, and then they were fighting among themselves. Every time I turned around, a fistfight would break out. I have no idea what was going on. It was wild. It was the wild kingdom out there . . . “I’ve never seen this stuff happen here before, or anywhere. Fights were breaking out every five minutes. Security guards were getting hit. It was better than Tyson and Ruddock.”
