Gee Walker hits for Cycle in Reverse order
On April 20, 1937 – Gee Walker hits for the cycle on Opening Day to lead the Tigers to a 4 – 3 victory over Cleveland at Navin Field. Walker hits the cycle in reverse order: home run, triple, double and single. The 29-year-old Tigers outfielder’s performance is the only cycle hit on Opening Day.
