On August 7, 2004, In less than a masterful performance, Cubs’ pitcher Greg Maddux wins his 300th career game, becoming the 22nd member of the 300-Win Club. Maddux defeats the Giants, 8-4, going five innings and allowing four earned runs at SBC Park in San Francisco. Many believe the 38 year old may be the last to reach this coveted milestone.
