Hank Aaron becomes 3rd player to reach 500 Doubles and Homeruns

On May 26, 1969, At Atlanta Fulton County Stadium Hank Aaron hits his 500th career double off Nelson Briles, becoming only the third major leaguer to reach 500 doubles and home runs.

The flames shot out 2 feet over the tent. He tried to put the fire out with a broomstick he keeps for housekeeping. The chief claimed sabotage, “Someone got into my tent and fooled with the bombs.”
