On April 25 2011, Jered Weaver is the hottest pitcher in the majors at this time, winning his 6th straight start in a 5 – 0 Angels win over the Athletics. He strikes out 10 batters and lowers his ERA to 0.99 in pitching a complete game shutout. Weaver becomes the fourth pitcher to go 6-0 before the end of April.
