Biography
A clutch lefthanded hitter and an excellent bunter, the consistent second baseman played 147 games for the Angels his first year to win a spot on the 1975 Topps All-Rookie team. California’s captain in 1977, Remy was traded to the Red Sox that December. Boston’s only basestealing threat, he hit .313 in 1980 and .307 in 1981 but missed large parts of the 1979 through 1981 and 1984 seasons due to knee problems.
