On July 28, 1994, at the Ballpark at Arlington. Kenny Rogers of the Texas Rangers throws a perfect game against the California Angels. Rogers strikes out eight batters in notching the 12th regular season perfect game in history in the modern era, and 14th overall in the history of the game with his 4-0 victory.

He also becomes the first American League left-hander to accomplish the feat and the Rangers’ southpaw performance is the fifth no-hitter in franchise history, being the first to do it perfectly.
