On September 11, 1991, At Jack Murphy Stadium., Kent Mercker, Mark Wohlers, and Alejandro Pena of the Atlanta Braves combine on a 1-0 no-hitter against the San Diego Padres. The masterpiece, only the second in Atlanta’s history Phil Niekro tossed the other one also against the Padres in 1973, this also marks the first of two times that Mercker will be involved in pitching a no-hitter.
