Seattle Angels of the Pacific Coast League name Bob Lemon their new manager

On December 26, 1964, the Seattle Angels of the Pacific Coast League name Bob Lemon their new manager. Lemon, who last pitched in the majors in 1958,  The future big league skipper will manage the team for two seasons, being named the 1966 PCL’s Manager of the Year by The Sporting News after capturing the circuit’s championship. Lemon will eventual manage the Kansas City Royals in 1970 and manage a total of 830 games winning 430 of them.
