The Arizona Diamondbacks complete a three-game sweep of the Chicago Cubs in the NLDS with a 5 – 1 victory in Wrigley Field. Chris Young hits the first pitch of the game for a home run and Livan Hernandez picks up the win.

On October 6, 2007 — At Wrigley Field, the Diamondbacks beat the Cubs, 5-1, to complete the three-game sweep of their National League division series. Chris Young hits the first pitch of the game for a home run and Livan Hernandez picks up the win. The loss for Chicago means the franchise has played for the last 99 years in the Windy City without winning a World Series championship.
