On September 14, 2002 â The Devil Rays, playing the 148th game on the schedule, suffer their 100th defeat, losing to the Blue Jays at the SkyDome, 8-4. Tampa Bay (48-100) becomes the first team to lose 100 games in consecutive seasons since Toronto accomplished the dubious mark for three straight years, starting in 1979.
