On June 23 1935 — The league-leading Yanks (37-22) lose their third in a row, dropping a 6 – 5 decision to the second-place Indians. Red Rolfe’s error in the 8th allows the Tribe to tie and Lefty Gomez lets loose two wild pitches in a row in the 9th to allow Joe Vosmik to get to third base. Ab Wright’s single brings home the winner. Mel Harder, in relief in the 9th, wins his 11th.
