October 22, 1953 ā€“ Lou Perini (pictured here with Al Schacht, ā€œThe Clown Prince of Baseball,ā€ and Billy Southworth) announced that the Braves had earned a profit of more than one million dollars in their first year in Milwaukee, which more than covered Periniā€™s total losses in the Bravesā€™ last three seasons in Boston.
