The Montreal Expos acquire starting pitcher Pedro Martinez from the Los Angeles Dodgers in exchange for second baseman Delino DeShields.

On November 19, 1993 — The Montreal Expos acquire starting pitcher Pedro Martinez from the Los Angeles Dodgers in exchange for second baseman Delino DeShields.

This deal will become a steal for the Expos as Pedro goes on to become a Cy Young Award winner and one of the best pitchers in baseball.
