On November 2, 1995 — The Seattle Mariners trade the second baseman Bret Boone and pitcher Erik Hanson to the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for P Bobby Ayala and catcher Dan Wilson.
Boone will spend 7 years playing for the Reds, Braves, and Padres before returning to Seattle and have a near MVP season with 37 home runs and 141 RBI’s. Hanson will go 5-5 for the Red’s and then win 15 the next season for the Red Sox,
Wilson, will spend the rest of his career with the Mariners and make an All-Star team and become the best catcher in the Mariner’s short history. Ayala had a strong 1994 with a 2.28 ERA and have solid several years with the mariners.
