On May 24, 2007, leadoff man Ichiro Suzuki goes 3-for-6 in the Seattle Mariners 13-12 loss to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, giving him 1,414 hits in his first 1,000 major league games. Only Al Simmons (with 1,433) collected more hits in his first 1,000 contests.
